Upon arrival at The International Airport of Lima (Jorge Chavez) a representative of Peru 4×4 adventures / Quality Travel International will be awaiting for you, from there on transfer to the hotel.

02 —

Lima – Canta – Huayllay – Tarma (370 kms)

Breakfast at hotel.
07:00 am Delivery of vehicles. Short briefing about the expedition and the usage of the 4×4 units, as well as safety regulations etc. Departure with 4×4 units with direction to the city of Canta (2,825 masl). 

From here we pass through the village of Obrajillo, known for its exquisite trout dishes. Following our route, we will arrive at Huayllay, is a group of stone formations and is located in the middle of the highest plain of the country, the plateau of Bombón. 

The area also has numerous archaeological remains and cave paintings. Once we have finished our tour, we will continue our route towards the province of Tarma. On the way we will pass through the famous Junin National Reserve, which is home to a large part of Peru’s endemic flora and fauna, as well as the second largest lake in Peru after Titicaca, Lake Chinchaycocha. Tarma, also known as “The Pearl of the Andes” for its special climate and great variety of flora. It hides a great tourist potential, we will spend the night in this destination to start our journey to Satipo the next day.

03 —

Tarma – Satipo (200 kms)

Breakfast in the hotel.
We will continue our route and arrive at one of the destinations recognised for its predominant natural tourist attractions. Satipo, maintains its cultural essence together with the native communities that live in this province, which remains for decades. In addition, it has a tropical and warm climate, which makes it perfect for producing cocoa, pineapple and coffee. It has incredible waterfalls, natural pools, petroglyphs and native communities that will gladly welcome us in their spaces to show us their cultures. 

We will arrive in Satipo, and we can choose to do a half day excursion such as canopy, Jet Ski, extreme swing, sky bike or Tibetan bridge in Laguna Las Garzas. Overnight in Satipo.

04 —

Satipo – Coriteni Community (106 kms)

Breakfast.
Very early in the morning we continue our journey to the Coriteni Community, one of the communities that still keep the culture of this region alive. 

We will live the experience of crossing the Tambo River in a “chata”. Then we will stay in the same community located in the district of Rio Tambo, to know more about them and learn about their culture.

05 —

Coriteni Community – Atalaya

Breakfast.
We continue our tour crossing again the Tambo River in a chata, to go to the Natural Pools of Betania, where we will enjoy much more of nature. This destination is surrounded by vegetation and small waterfalls whose waterfalls only reach up to three metres. 

After the visit to the pools we head to Atalaya to experience the adventure and offroad in terrains typical of the region. Overnight. (B)

Atalaya – Satipo (221 Kms)

Breakfast.
We return to Satipo to live again the adventure of the Off-Road Trip passing through the Ipamequiari, Intzipaziari and Canuja gorges.

07 —

Satipo – Huancayo (235 kms)

Breakfast at hotel.
On this route, the entire road is of interest and you should be on the lookout for movement and bird sounds and also make stops around bridges. It is a custom in the region to greet the older villagers. Arrival at Huancayo city, located in the Mantaro Valley, awaits us with its beautiful landscapes, religious fervour, dances and handicrafts. Its visitors are amazed by the blue sky and the panoramic view of the city. 

On the way we will pass through the villages of Puquian, Sacsacancha, Laguna Pomacocha, Jauja, Ocopa, Orcotuna, until we arrive at the great Plaza Constitución where we will be able to contemplate the beautiful cathedral.

08 —

Huancayo – Huancaya (180 kms)

Breakfast at hotel.
By the Cañete Yauyos Highway, we go to Huancaya, another of the favourite destinations for visitors. This place is home to the Nor-Yauyos Cocha Reserve, which is surprising for its waterfalls, lagoons, waterfalls and archaeological remains. 

Perfect for nature lovers, as this destination is surrounded by abundant flora, which contrasts with the turquoise or crystalline colour of its lagoons. On the way to Huancaya we will pass through the Abra de Chaucha, the border between Junin and the highlands of Lima, we will also pass through the famous villages of: Alis, Tinco, Vitis, Vilca – Yauyos, where we will spend the night.

09 —

Huancaya – Lima (280 Kms)

After breakfast, transfer to Lima city. On the way you can practice off road in the dunes of Sarapampa, it is a journey of approximately 35 to 40 kilometres.
Finally transfer to Hotel.
